Arduino Instrument Workshop

Come build your own instrument using an Arduino and Processing! In this workshop, you will create an instrument that can play sounds with capacitive touch sensors, much like an Ototo. At the end of the night, you will be able to bring your instrument home with you! There is no experience required for this workshop, however, you will need to bring a laptop running Mac OS, Windows, or Linux (Sorry, no Chromebooks). If you want to save time you can install the Arduino IDE and Processing IDE on your own before the meeting. RSVP for the meeting at and invite your friends! Learn How To DJ!

Come learn how to DJ! At this meeting, you’ll learn how to mix tracks together, add effects, and make better sounding playlists using some simple acoustic techniques.  By the end of the workshop, you’ll have the software and the skills you need to make mixes on your own computer.  Bring a laptop, some headphones, and some music you’d like to mix! Design your own Audio Visualizer!

Hey everyone, welcome back! We hope everyone is enjoying the fall semester. Our first meeting of the year is going to be an audio visualizer workshop! You might remember the visualizer as the cool colorful thing you looked at when you were bored and playing around with iTunes. The visualizer is generated in real-time to produce stunning imagery synchronized with music. The images change with changes in loudness and frequency.
